CITA 455 - Object Oriented Programming II Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Laboratory (or Other) Hours: 0
Prerequisite(s): CITA 140 - Introduction to Programming I and CITA 415 - Object Oriented Programming I This course continues the study of concepts and problem-solving techniques in an object-oriented programming language. Emphasis is on learning the skills necessary for the development of object-oriented programs. The coruse covers topics such as inheritance, polymorphism, Windows programming, advanced exception handling, multithreading and animation. Students will develop, test, and debug programs appropriate to specific object-oriented techniques.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course: Students will be able to:
- Identify and apply the language syntax of an object-oriented language
- Discriminate between advanced language data structures
- Develop programs using graphics-based programming
- Develop, test, and debug programs specific to object-oriented techniques.
