Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of Checkpoint II and the Player’s Ability Test, PGMB 375 , PGMB 300 and PGMB 482 Restriction(s): None

After completing the Player Development IV course students will be able to: understand the requirements and steps necessary to securing an appropriate final internship position, how to effectively perform on the job, and how to use it to help them further their career; understand the necessity of continued golf game development, and how to effectively include practice, playing, and tournament participation to that end; understand the importance of “giving back” through governance and community service, and how it can enhance their career and quality of life.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Secure an appropriate summer internship position
- Be better prepared for tournament play and better prepared to pass the PAT
- Teach individual and group instruction
- Use technology to enhance their instructional sessions
- Write and maintaining a professional, updated cover letter, resume and portfolio
- Complete a Service Learning reflection paper on their instructional experience
- Create and maintain a Linked-In profile
