The course will prepare the student to operate a golf merchandise outlet. The students will utilize The College Golf Course at Delhi’s merchandise outlet as an educational tool. Students will develop the appropriate skills to buy, display, record, promote and sell golf apparel and equipment for a golf merchandise outlet.

Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:

Utilize point of sale system software to help manage inventory at a merchandise outlet
Develop an appropriate buying plan for a merchandise outlet
Understand characteristics of current golf apparel and equipment product offerings from different vendors
Develop floor plans to help display merchandise and sell golf apparel and equipment
Implement promotional practices to sell merchandise
