This course covers theory of direct-current motors and generators, controllers, and solid-state components, as well as heating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning control systems.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Apply Ohms Law to solve basic DC electrical circuits.
- Solve combination DC circuits.
- Apply and quantify the operation of an electrical meter for DC circuits.
- Explain the function of various Diodes.
- Describe and quantify the function of various Rectifier circuits.
- Describe how transistors, SCRs, Triacs, and Bi-lateral Switches operate in a circuit.
