This lecture-lab course develops students’ skills in CAD/Board drafting with emphasis on conventions and techniques of industrial drawings as required by ANSI, ASME, and ISO. Subject matter covered includes welding/ fabrication parts, hydraulics/pneumatics/piping systems, and other related areas such as structural, HVAC, etc.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Using ANSI, ASME, and ISO drafting standards, complete project assignments relating to the following topics: Precision sheet metal fabrication, piping systems, hydraulic and pneumatic power systems, welded/fabricated parts, and electrical systems.
- Integrate project planning lessons from MECH 151 to produce multi-sheet project packages for the above topics.
- Modify previous projects in accordance with class standard Engineering Change Notice procedures.
- Complete assignments in a timely fashion
