ARCH 220 - Commercial Documentation & Detailing Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 1.5 Laboratory (or Other) Hours: 3

This second documentation and detailing course introduces the student to the fundamentals of materials and components in building assemblies for commercial construction. Students will also be introduced to the fundamentals of building information modelling tools and techniques to document a commercial building.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Apply architectural drawing conventions for commercial buildings using industry standard software.
- Produce an abbreviated set of working drawings for commercial buildings including the use of annotations on plans, sections, elevations, and details.
- Define and apply basic methods, materials, sizes, and assemblies in commercial construction.
