Requirements for All Students for Junior Status in the BT Program

By the end of the fourth semester all students must have:

  • a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in all SUNY Delhi courses
  • a 3.0 or higher GPA in ARCH 125 , ARCH 135 , ARCH 210 , ARCH 240 , or equivalent courses
  • successfully earned 60 credits of the SUNY Delhi AAS Architectural Technology curriculum or have equivalent preparation

Program Learning Outcomes


A graduate of the Architectural Design and Building BT program should be able to:

  • Apply fundamental principles of drafting to the preparation of residential and commercial construction drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, schedules, details, and specifications.
  • Demonstrate design conceptualization strategies, the process of design, and the development and resolution of specific construction details in the design of residential and commercial building systems.
  • Employ traditional graphic means, both drawings and models, to illustrate and orally present completed design projects.
  • Exhibit technical knowledge of the physical properties, design considerations, integration, and interrelationships of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and structural building systems found in typical buildings.
  • Attain basic understanding of architectural history from pre-history to the present.
