Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Describe applications of psychology to diverse fields.
- Interpret psychological phenomena using scientific reasoning.
- Design and conduct basic psychological research.
- Apply ethical standards to evaluate psychological science and practice.
- Build and enhance interpersonal relationships.
- Interact effectively with diverse others.
- Demonstrate effective writing and presentation skills for different purposes.
- Apply psychological concepts and skills to career goals.
Minors - Academic Policy Guidance
- Only students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program may pursue a minor.
- A student may petition for the minor to be added to their academic record upon successful completion of all courses required for the minor or when the student petitions to graduate.
- The student must earn a GPA of 2.0 in all courses applied to the minor.
- In compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations, courses for the minor may not be eligible for financial aid. Students should be full-time before registering for any courses for the minor.
- Cross registration is not available for courses required for a minor.
- A maximum of 9 credits may be recorded as transfer credit.
- A maximum of 9 credits may overlap with the student’s major course of study.
- Courses that apply as unrestricted electives do NOT count as overlapping credit.
- Restricted major electives DO count as overlapping credit.
