Notes:

1  Restricted electives may be any 100- or 200-level courses with the prefix of ACCT, BUSI, or CITA. It is recommended that students take a management course as one of their restricted electives. They may choose from BUSI 200 - Management I , BUSI 205 - Small Business Management , or BUSI 263 - Entrepreneurship .

2 Students must choose from at least three (3) different categories from the following General Education Knowledge and Skills Areas:

  • US History and Civic Engagement

Program Learning Outcomes


A graduate of the Business Administration AS program should be able to:

Common Business and Information Technology Program Outcomes

  • Prepare financial statements, maintain accounting records and perform financial analysis.
  • Display a fundamental understanding of computers, and computer information systems.
  • Interpret and apply data to ensure sound financial and managerial decisions.
  • Produce coherent texts within common college-level written forms; demonstrate the ability to revise and improve such texts; research a topic, develop a thesis, and organize supporting details
  • Develop proficiency in oral discourse and evaluate an oral presentation according to established criteria

Business Administration (AS) Program Outcomes

  • Demonstrate familiarity with the organization and operation of American banking and financial institutions, sources of funds, the practical aspects of money, and short- and long-term credit for businesses.
  • Understand competent business practice and demonstrate knowledge of business disciplines.
  • Apply marketing methods and policies with an emphasis on planning, pricing, promoting, and distributing products to customers.
  • Generalize and discriminate among current American business practices, including production, marketing, finance, and human resource management.

Technical Standards for Business & Computer Information Systems Programs


The technical standards listed below are intended to inform students of the skills, abilities, and behavioral expectations required in this program. These technical standards reflect performance abilities and characteristics that are necessary to successfully complete the requirements of this program at SUNY Delhi. These standards are not conditions of admission to the program, but persons interested in applying for admission to the program should review this list to develop a better understanding of the skills, abilities, and behavioral expectations necessary to successfully complete the program. General Technical Standards

  • Attend and participate in all classroom courses.
