This course is an introduction to the field of forensic anthropology, which is the study and application of archaeological methods and skeletal analyses in a medicolegal context. In this course students will learn how to recover and analyze human skeletal remains. Topics will include search and recovery processes, archaeological excavation methods, biological profile methods, and trauma analysis. Equivalent to CJUS 305 .

- Describe the processes of recovery and excavation of human skeletal remains.
- Identify individual human skeletal elements.
- Compare and contrast the methods used for analyzing human skeletal remains.
- Analyze human skeletal remains.
