This course will focus on a special topic of interest in the area of criminal justice chosen by the instructor. A detailed analysis of the topic will be presented in this course.
This course may be repeated for up to a total of 6 credits.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Examine issues within the criminal justice system in such a way as to understand majority and minority perspectives.
- Evaluate the roles and attitudes of the actors in the U.S. criminal justice system related to contemporary situations.
- Critically analyze contemporary criminal justice policies and procedures.
- Formulate evidence-based solutions to a contemporary issue in the field of criminal justice.
