This course provides a theoretical, yet practical, approach to understanding the mechanisms of complex, sustainable human communication systems. Students will apply knowledge to career advancement skills such as the ability to effectively navigate the processes and interdependent connections within and among organizations, and between people.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Analyse the theories that undergird effective human communication endeavors and the systems within which those theories operate
- Evaluate the physiological, societal, psychological, cultural, political, and/or technical interdependencies necessary for sustainable human activity
- Apply a systems-theory, systems-learning approach to problem solving
