This course involves appraisal of the art of music. Recorded and visual materials are utilized in studying the elements, forms, and styles of music with the aim of stimulating understanding and enjoyment.

Student Learning Outcomes of the Course: The General Education requirement for The Arts is satisfied by HUMN 102. To meet this General Education requirement, students will be able to:

demonstrate an understanding of at least one principal form of artistic expression and the creative process inherent therein.
