The residential construction job site has a number of trades which must work together. This course prepares students to work efficiently with plumbing and electrical tradespersons by providing a basic understanding of these systems and how they operate.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Students will be able to identify and describe residential electrical wiring
- Students will be able to properly size a residential electrical branch circuit
- Students will be able to identify and discuss a residential plumbing system
- Students will be able to explain the difference between supply plumbing and waste plumbing
- Students will be able to demonstrate proper wiring of basic electrical circuits in a lab based setting
- Students will be able to demonstrate installation and repair of common plumbing fixtures and systems in a lab based setting.
