This course is designed to prepare students for positions in the leisure field through independent work assignments given on an individual basis in a particular phase of the fields of physical education, parks, recreation or sports.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Understand and apply fundamental concepts, principles, and procedures for the planning, development, and design of recreational programs, resources, areas, and/or facilities.
- Illustrate application of critical thinking.
- Identify the academic and career opportunities available in the leisure services profession, and have a working knowledge of how to access these opportunities.
