This course is designed to introduce the student to the principles, techniques and procedures in the design, programming and operation of outdoor education and camping facilities such as interpretive centers, resident camps and day camps.

Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:

Evaluate various techniques for teaching in the outdoors.
Explain the roots and growth of outdoor education.
Analyze the foundations and goals of interpretation, as well as analyzing the guidelines for planning the interpretive experience and explaining the guidelines for giving interpretive talks.
Explain the various tasks involved in campground administration.
