CITA 340 - Database Management and End User Information Systems

This course is a study of guidelines, techniques, and principles of planning, implementing, and maintaining database management systems with end-user information systems. The emphasis is on usability and human factors engineering, which leads to optimal organizational results within information systems environments. Real-world user interface engineering will be studied

Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
  1. Utilize correct terminology to explain what a user interface is.
  2. Validate the use of HCI (human-computer interaction), usability, and user interfaces.
  3. Assess and demonstrate the importance of usability engineering.
  4. Compare and contrast the differences between the different models.
  5. Design the interaction and solution utilizing databases, usability, and engineering.
