This course is a study of guidelines, techniques, and principles of planning, implementing, and maintaining database management systems with end-user information systems. The emphasis is on usability and human factors engineering, which leads to optimal organizational results within information systems environments. Real-world user interface engineering will be studied
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Utilize correct terminology to explain what a user interface is.
- Validate the use of HCI (human-computer interaction), usability, and user interfaces.
- Assess and demonstrate the importance of usability engineering.
- Compare and contrast the differences between the different models.
- Design the interaction and solution utilizing databases, usability, and engineering.
