Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:  

By the end of the semester students will be able to:

  1. Describe the history and reason for building and zoning codes. 
  2. Evaluate a structure using building and zoning codes. 
  3. Describe practice “controls”, including education, licensure, ethics, liability, and contracts.
  4. Identify personal skills and traits helpful for contributing to and advancing the profession of architecture.
  5. Identify best practices for project management and professional practice.
