Notes:

1 BIOL 135 - General Biology II  is required by SUNY ESF. BIOL 155 - Botany  and BIOL 215 - Zoology  may be substituted for BIOL 130 - General Biology I  and BIOL 135 - General Biology II  

2 Students must complete Delhi’s MATH 150 - Precalculus  or MATH 210 - Calculus I  to satisfy the math requirement at SUNY ESF.

3 Students must take CHEM 180 - General Chemistry I  at Delhi for General Chemistry 1 credits at ESF.

Program Learning Outcomes


A graduate of the Mathematics and Science AS program (Science Option) should be able to:

  • Demonstrate a basic content knowledge of biology, including, but not limited to: cell structure, evolution, taxonomy, and ecology.
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of chemistry, including, but not limited to: atomic structure, elements, bonding, chemical reactions, and stoichiometry.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of the scientific method.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills to be ready for calculus.

SUNY General Education Requirement


Students who intend to receive AA, AS, or baccalaureate degrees must satisfy SUNY and campus General Education (GE) requirements to graduate. Students should be aware that GE requirements may vary by academic program. Consult with your academic advisor for program-specific information; for general information: General Education  

AAS and AOS degree students may not be required to fulfill General Education (GE) requirements; however, any student who may wish to transfer should complete as many GE courses as possible. Consult with your academic advisor.
