Program Learning Outcomes


A graduate of the Biology program should be able to:

  • Demonstrate a basic content knowledge of biology, including, but not limited to: cell structure, genetics, evolution, taxonomy, and ecology.
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of chemistry, including, but not limited to: atomic structure, elements, bonding, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, chemical equilibrium, thermodynamics, kinetics, and electrochemistry.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of the scientific method.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills to be ready for calculus.
