Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to: - Demonstrate coherent college-level written communication that informs, persuades, or otherwise engages with an audience;
- Evaluate communication for substance, bias, and intended effect; and
- Recognize and analyze nuance and complexity of meaning through critical reflections on text, visual images, or artifacts.
Minors - Academic Policy Guidance
- Only students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program may pursue a minor.
- A student may petition for the minor to be added to their academic record upon successful completion of all courses required for the minor or when the student petitions to graduate.
- The student must earn a GPA of 2.0 in all courses applied to the minor.

In compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations, courses for the minor may not be eligible for financial aid. Students should be full-time before registering for any courses for the minor. -
Cross registration is not available for courses required for a minor. - A maximum of 9 credits may be recorded as transfer credit.
- A maximum of 9 credits may overlap with the student’s major course of study.
- Courses that apply as unrestricted electives do NOT count as overlapping credit.
- Restricted major electives DO count as overlapping credit.
