Prerequisite(s): CITA 150 - Introduction to Information Technology or EICR 260 - Programmable Logic Controllers or or by permission of instructor Restriction(s): Students enrolled in Cyber Operations - AAS or Cyber Operations Management - BBA may not take this course.
Course will address the fundamental building blocks that form a modern network. Students will learn about hardware, topologies, and protocols used in networking. Topics will also include the OSI mdoel, the process of incident response, risk management, and analysis.
Created as a pilot course, fall 2023; formally approved by curriculum committee and shared governance for spring 2024

- Recognize the threats and vulnerabilities associated with computer security
- Identify computer crime statutes,forensic processes, and ethical principals
- Apply computer security techniques on real-world scenarios
