This course focuses on the design of small, detached, low- rise commercial or institutional buildings, libraries, banks, restaurants, etc., of approximately 3000 sq ft to 8000 sq. ft., with an extensive site to develop, in a suburban context.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Use a set of analytical drawings to enhance the architectural design process
- Demonstrate the application of basic design principles in architecture and design
- Develop architectural solutions to complex programs and site locations
- Develop site plans related to the architectural project
