HIST 300 - Race in American History

Prerequisite(s): HIST 100, HIST 105, HIST 125, or HIST 130 with a grade of C or better.

Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:

Examine the basic narrative of American history- Ability to recognize major events and outcomes in US history
Recognize common institutions in American society-Compare and contrast the differing experiences people of color had and continue to have in the US society.
Critique America’s evolving relationship with the rest of the world-Develop and discuss experiences people of color have outside the US.
