Course will address information security, ethical and legal practices, and mitigating cyber vulnerabilities. Participants will also learn about the process of incident response, risk management, analysis, cryptology and encryption. The course, although basic, will target ensuring the privacy, reliability, and integrity of information systems
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Exhibit knowledge of what Computer Security is and the threats, vulnerabilities, and controls associated with Computer Security
- Exhibit knowledge of Computer Crime Statutes and the legal process as well as ethical principles
- Student will apply these tools in real world scenarios
- Student will apply methods to secure computers, detect & react to threats and enact pre and post incident procedures as per risk mitigation techniques
