This course focuses on marketing and methods with emphasis on the planning, pricing, promoting, and distributing of products and services to consumers. Topics include marketing functions and institutions, marketing methods, and policies.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Understand marketing’s value, function, strategy, targeting, environment and mix
- Determine pricing policies and objectives, use BE analysis and how to make judgments on cost versus price
- Understand and compare positioning, buying behavior of consumers and business and make use of research information
- Distinguish goods and services, chart product life cycle, and evaluate distribution channels and different types of retailing and wholesaling
- Understand and explain Integrated Marketing Communications and the promotion mix
