ACCT 220 - Intermediate Accounting II

A continuation of intermediate accounting, topics include plant and equipment (acquisition, depreciation, revaluations), intangibles, long-term liabilities, stock holders’ equity (paid-in capital, retained earnings), and analytical processes (comparative data, special ratios and measurements, errors and their correction, and price level changes).

Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
  1. To master generally accepted accounting concepts, conventions, practices, and procedures.
  2. Students will demonstrate the ability to perform proper transactional journal entries associated with stockholders equity transactions.
  3. Students will demonstrate the ability to calculate employee/employer payroll and record the appropriate payroll journal entries.
  4. Students will demonstrate the ability to discern the proper accounting treatment of contingent liabilities.
  5. Students will demonstrate the ability to discern the proper accounting treatment and journal entries associated with leases.
  6. Students will demonstrate the ability to calculate and record the issuance and purchase of bonds and notes payable
