This course focuses on the design of moderately sized, low-rise commercial or institutional buildings, health clubs, municipal buildings, museums, etc., of approximately 8,000 sq. ft. to 12,000 sq. ft., with an extensive site to develope, in a suburban context.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Design a small community using best practices from urban design
- Plan a community’s infrastructure
- Plan a community’s public space
- Develop architecture that response to a community’s goals
- Use a set of analytical drawings to enhance the architectural design process
