This course will introduce students to the use of digital tools in the humanities to increase our understanding, analysis, and production of texts. It will provide a survey of technology common to the field of communications.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course: In order to fulfill the Humanities GE, students will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge of the conventions and methods of at least one of the humanities; and
- recognize and analyze nuance and complexity of meaning through critical reflections on text, visual images, or artifacts.
In order to fulfill course-specific outcomes, students will be able to:
- demonstrate proficiency with a suite of digital humanities softwares
- analyze texts through digital humanities techniques
