This course prepares BSN students to integrate health technologies into nursing decisions and interventions across multiple practice settings. Students will explore a range of current and emerging digital health technologies, informatics, and artificial intelligence. Themes of ethical issues, data security, and equitable access will be threaded throughout the course content. Through applied learning, students will gain skills in using technology tools to enhance the delivery of nursing care and patient outcomes.

- Analyze the impact of emerging health technologies on patient care, nursing workflows, and healthcare delivery.
- Evaluate the role of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and health informatics in enhancing clinical decision-making and improving patient outcomes.
- Apply ethical, legal, and privacy principles to the integration of health technologies in nursing practice and patient care.
- Develop patient education strategies that utilize digital tools and technology-based interventions to support health literacy and engagement.
- Examine community-based technology initiatives that improve patient outcomes.
