This course is designed to bridge the transition of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to the Registered Nurse (RN) role. The course provides a comprehensive foundation for expanding the scope of practice and developing the critical thinking skills necessary for success in an RN program and professional practice. Using a hybrid format of online learning and on-campus simulation practice, this course builds upon the existing knowledge and skills of LPNs while introducing advanced concepts and practices essential to RN-level care. The course focuses on enhancing health assessment skills, deepening understanding of the nursing process, and developing proficiency in care planning for complex patient scenarios.
