VETS 285 - Vet Tech Preceptorship III

Prerequisite(s): VETS 205  (minimum grade C+, may be taken concurrently) and VETS 210  (minimum grade C+, may be taken concurrently) and VETS 238  (minimum grade C+, may be taken concurrently) and VETS 239  (minimum grade C+, may be taken concurrently) and VETS 242  (minimum grade C+, may be taken concurrently) and VETS 245  (minimum grade C+, may be taken concurrently)
Restriction(s): Veterinary Science Technology - AAS  (Online Program)

The preceptorship is designed to involve the student in the daily activities that are encountered in a small animal clinical facility. A minimum of 120 hours of participation in a position relating to veterinary technology in a faculty-approved facility is required. A “P” passing grade is equivalent to a grade of C or better

Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
  1. The student will actively be involved in the daily activities which are encountered in an approved animal facility.
  2. The student will experience what the veterinary technology profession encompasses.
  3. The student will report on and discuss their experience and the relevance of the Veterinary Technology Program courses with the course instructor or other veterinary science faculty or staff.
