Prerequisite(s): ENGL 100 or higher This course will introduce students to the importance of universal design principles and how these principles may be applied to electronic policies and practices. The course will focus on both the theoretical principles that drive accessibility standards as well as the hands-on creation of accessible documents and web applications.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Analyze the integration and uses of assistive technology
- Evaluate and repair the format of documents and media for accessibility
- Apply universal design principles to the creation of accessible documents
