Students in this course will engage in hands-on service learning projects in Parks and Recreation related activities. Activities include working with the course instructor to maintain and operate the SUNY Delhi Outdoor Education Center in addition to developing projects and programs for community groups and schools.

Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:

Be able to describe the concept of service learning.
Develop a working knowledge of outdoor program design and implementation.
Develop a working knowledge of outdoor facility work project development and implementation.
Plan, design, and implement outdoor educational or recreational programming for the community.
Plan, develop, and implement parks and recreation facility work projects.
Collaborate with service partners to develop and implement projects and programs.
