This course will cover topics in algebra and trigonometry, with emphasis on applications in technical fields. Algebra topics include rational and radical functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, systems of equations, and vectors. Trigonometry topics include graphing trigonometric functions and the law of sines and cosines.
Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Students will demonstrate the ability to interpret and draw inferences from mathematical models such as formulas, graphs, and tables.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to represent mathematical information symbolically, visually, numerically and verbally.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to employ quantitative methods such as, arithmetic, algebra, or geometry to solve problems.
