ESYS 240 - Energy Systems Diagrams

Energy systems technicians should be skilled at reading, interpreting, analyzing, designing, and creating diagrams used in the design, installation, and troubleshooting of energy technologies. Student in this course utilize computer aided design and drafting (CADD) software to create schematics, wiring diagrams, and scaled drawings relevant to the energy field.

Student Learning Outcomes of the Course:

Given a schematic or wiring diagram, interpret, analyze, and describe the design and functionality of the circuit
Given system information, design and create one and three line drawings that serve as an accurate representation of that system
Given a schematic drawing, interpret that schematic and create a wiring diagram that corresponds to the schematic
Given a set of measurements for a site layout, create a to-scale drawing for that site including dimensions as appropriate
